I watched the first episode of Ann Droid last night and had the same reaction as you, James. Initially nervous in case it was cringey, but actually delighted and will definitely watch the rest.
There have been some great episodes, and some not so good, much improved in my eyes when the son is not around...
I will be first in line to read this novel! And I may even watch Ann Droid now even after that awful trailer

And Ann Droid has potential that it doesn't always live up to... But yes, the trailer was poor.
